The Alfa Romeo SS' looks made it a stand-out offering when it was launched – simple curves with compact dimensions maintained a long-established Alfa Romeo tradition, and while built in relatively small numbers it enjoys a strong following, especially in historic motor sport. This much-loved historic rally car has good bodywork and paint and is a credit to previous owners. There is no sign of corrosion and the doors line-up nicely – the steel wheels and hubcaps are equally good. Inside all is in equally good order. Red carpet with grey sets (piped in red) present well and the dashboard is a delightfully functional affair. The engine starts and runs well, the engine bay is tidy, the gearbox, suspension and brakes are in good order too. There is good history and in all this is a potentially rewarding classic that offers much more than Sunday drives to the pub.
