Description
The car offered here is an Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint Speciale. It is a classic sports car produced by Alfa Romeo between 1957 and 1962. It was based on the Giulietta Sprint Coupé, but had an adapted body designed by Bertone, which resulted in a more streamlined appearance. The Sprint Special had a 1.3-liter four-cylinder engine that produced 100 to 116 horsepower, depending on the version. It had a top speed of about 190 km/h and accelerated from 0 to 100 km/h in about 10 seconds. It was also one of the first production cars with disc brakes all around. The design of the Giulietta Sprint Special was striking and characteristic of the 50s and 60s, with a rounded nose, long bonnet and short, sloping rear. The car was also lighter and more aerodynamic than the Giulietta Sprint Coupé, resulting in better performance. Alfa Romeo produced around 1,366 units of the Giulietta Sprint Speciale, making it a relatively rare car. The cars on offer are part of a static collection that has been accumulated over the last 40 years. They are mainly in an unrestored, original but dusty condition. We have not tried to start any of the cars. We have been informed that the engines have been turned, on a regular basis, but the exact condition of the cars and the engines is unknown to us. You can inspect the cars on the viewing days for which you have to make a reservation through our ticketshop.
