PREVIOUS OWNERS:
MY FATHER IN LAW WENT TO MEDICAL SCHOOL IN BOLONIA ITALY WHEN HE PURCHASED THE CAR IN ABOUT 1973. HE THEN HAD IT COMPLEATLY RESTORED IN ITALY AND SAID IT IS 100% ORIGINAL OTHER THAN THEY PUT A 5 SPEED TRANSMISSION IN IT FOR BETTER DRIVING.
WHEN HE GRADUATED IN ABOUT 1977 HE HAD THE CAR SHIPPED HERE AND DROVE IT UNTIL ABOUT 2002. THE ENGINE NEEDED A REBUILD AT THIS TIME AND THE POOR QUALITY SHOP HE TOOK IT TO REMOVED THE HEAD, FOUND A BAD PISTON AND THEN WENT OUT OF BUSINESS.
THAT IS WHY ALL THE PARTS (HEAD, INTAKE, OIL PAN, WEBBER CARBS, EXCT) ARE IN THE TRUNK.
THAT IS HOW I GOT THE CAR 6 YEARS AGO. SINCE THEN, I HAVE PURCHASED A SET OF PISTONS & CYLENDER ASSY'S AND A FEW OTHER MISC PARTS BUT HAVEN'T STARTED THE RESTORATION YET.
AS FAR AS I CAN SEE, THE CAR HAS NEVER BEEN HIT AND IS VERY RUST FREE AND STRAIGHT BUT STILL NEEDS TO BE DISSASEMBLED, STRIPED AND REFINISHED. I THINK THE ONLY OTHER TWO PARTS MISSING ARE THE CORRECT STEERING WHEEL AND THE RADIO WHICH I WOULD LIKE TO REPLACE AS I WANT TO KEEP THE CAR AS ORIGINAL AS POSSIBLE.
