My Giulietta Veloce Spider, Lola, was originally delivered to Hoffman Motors,NYNY on 16 April,1958. Supposedly, the original owner raced this vehicle in NH. It was purchased by Serge Dermanian, owner of High Performace cars.Inc. of Waltham ,MA. in 1989. HPC was a dealer for Maserati, Peugeot, and of course, Alfas. The car, when purchased by Serge, was located in a barn in Manchester,NH.

It was sold again to Krikor Apanian (who owned ABKO Auto Body- located next door to HPM) on 26 February,1990. Krikor had the engine rebuilt at Little Foreign Car (also of Waltham) in 1996 by the late Claude Priez ; who, according to Serge, had done extensive work for Peter Sachs.

While at the 2004 AROC convention, I spotted pictures of the engine on the swap and sell board. After numerous trips back and forth, I purchased and hauled the car back to MD. I removed the engine and had John's Auto Body of Riverdale, MD redo the body and paint it in Ferrari red. I debuted the completed car at the Rockville Car Show in October ,2006.
