Of French provenance, this Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce came out of a comprehensive restoration by the SDMS International/European Cars Legend workshops in late 2015. Around 1,500 hours were devoted to this pretty little sports car in order to make it look great again. The list of work done includes: complete paint from base upwards, painting of all body components separately, new chrome, renovation of the engine with respect to the Veloce specifications, painting of the rims and the interior was redone (carpet and upholstery). The car also received a new hood, a new exhaust system, a new fuel tank, new front and rear suspensions (springs, shock absorbers, suspension wishbones), new brakes and shock mounts on the steering system. These elements of the car were stripped, primed and painted with high resistance epoxy paint. The wiring harness was also redone.
The car comes with a letter from Alfa Storico confirming that it is an authentic Giulietta Spider Veloce. Note that this version has a more powerful engine than the standard Giulietta (90bhp from 1959) which makes it more enjoyable and sportier to use. It is also rarer, since the production run was less than 3000 units. The quality of its restoration, its sky blue shade, blue carpets and anthracite leather seats make this car highly desirable!
