A CX of 0.28 in 1959
It is in 1959 at the Autodrome of Monza that Alfa Romeo introduced its Giulietta SS 1300 (Sprint Speciale) which incorporated the lines of the prototype presented in October 1957 at the Turin Salon. Designed by Franco Scaglione at Bertone, the Coupé profiled met specifications to expand the customer base of the Giulietta, who wanted to benefit sportsmanship. Its 1300cc engine derived from that of the Veloce produced 100 hp, high power for the time, with two Weber carburetors DCOE2. Its excellent aerodynamic efficiency enabled it to reach the mythical 200 km / h.
The model presented here is a Giulietta Sprint SPECIAL 1300 Type AR 10120 177 268, December 15, 1961 produced and delivered January 8, 1962 in Pavia Italia.
