HISTORY:
My name is Bryn Griffiths. I live in Horsham West Sussex in the UK.
The Giulietta I have bought with my partner Jane Hitchins is:
Dear Mister Griffiths,
with reference to your request we are informing you as follows.
According to our documentation files, the chassis number AR 1495.02253
originally corresponds to an Alfa Romeo Giulietta Spider Veloce,
manufactured on the 9th August 1957 and sold on the 11th March 1958 in UK.
The body colour is red.
Yours, Sincerely,
Marco Fazio
In fact the car was registered to Peter Brown new in the UK in October 1957.
He is the only previous owner. We bought it through Rob and Angus at Rusper
Alfa. It currently has a 105 series 1300 engine although I have a very early
1955 Giulietta Sprint engine 1315*00839 with the car which I hope to swop
out for a 1957 Veloce engine if I can find ever one.
The car has an MOT, I've just got the dynamo re-wound so that I can drive
it. I intend to drive it in the short term, while long-term collect the
original parts required so that Jane and I can do the Mille Miglia as it is
one of the early eligible cars.
We own and I run an Alfa Romeo authorised service and parts garage in
Ashington, West Sussex called Monza Sports Tuning. I run a car sales side so
drive the more modern cars regularly, 147, 156, 916 GTV Spider, 159, Mito
etc. We do not deal in the earlier cars. This car is not for sale!
On a personal level I have owned a 105 series GTV 2000 Bertone and an
Alfasud 1.3 Ti for personal use and have raced in Alfa 33s and a 156 in the
Alfa Championship, even winning some races in an Alfa 156 Sportwagon Diesel!
I have joined the Giulietta Register and learnt about this group from Angus
at Rusper Alfa.
I've attached a couple of photos from the showroom where the Giulietta now
lives.
Regards,
Bryn Griffiths
